Foam Parties

Foam Parties: Safeguarding your Place from the Perils of Foam Parties

The arrival of foam parties has brought the concept of partying and nightlife to an entirely different level. People have finally found a way to add a delightful new flavor to their social gatherings through creating an environment that fosters relaxation and pushes the energy level of partygoers to unimaginable heights. Foam parties are great as they can be conducted just about anywhere from elite, ritzy exclusive night clubs to wild underground basements to the small garage of a teenager’s suburban pad. However, foam parties are not without a downside.

Soiled carpets, broken beer bottles and empty cans, ruined furniture, cigarette butts and ashes, leftover food and wrapper; the list goes on of the evidences of the wild party the night before. It is a common occurrence for a party venue to be left topsy-turvy and trashed as the consequence of one night of seemingly unlimited fun; even more so with the foam party. Conducting a foam party can bring about a great number of venue damages due to the fact that the soap used is a wetting agent. The water can easily ruin floors and walls of the venue; especially those made of hard wood or covered with paint. This can be prevented by covering the walls and floors with a plastic sheathe. A mat or carpet can be used to protect the floors of the dance floor. However, moisture can accumulate underneath the carpet, creating an environment conducive for fungal growth. An old carpet that can be easily disposed must therefore be used. Better yet, conduct the party in a venue with cement walls and floor. Also, holding the foam party outdoors is a good idea.

The substance used in foam parties raises the humidity level in the room and yields condensation and ice formation during cold weather. In order to prevent such occurrence, the party host can make use if an industrial humidifier. When planning the party, the party host must make sure that the area is large enough to accommodate the foam, the crowd and the other party essentials. Party hosts must remember that the foam eventually turns back into air and water, potentially flooding the area. Barricades must therefore be ensured.

The water can cause a great deal of damage to electrical appliances. Foam parties usually include sounds and lighting systems. It is therefore important to make sure that they are located as far from the foam as possible. If the place that you are planning to spend the party in happens to be rented, you must first obtain the permission of the landlord. If the venue that you are planning to use id your own, you must be prepared for the expenses that are associated with damage repair.
